If you are in Vung Tau for the first time, don’t forget to visit one of the greatest educational places in Vietnam, The Worldwide Arms Museum. It is located on one of the highest coastal mountains in Vung Tau, on the road heading to the lighthouse (14 Hai Dang Street, Ward 2, Vung Tau City). The museum is unlike any other museums in Vietnam in that you can always feel the European spirit of history.
If you are a collector of ancient objets or you just like to admire historical artifacts, just come here and see with your own eyes one of the biggest collection of arms invented in different continents at different historical epochs. The exhibition of European and oriental weapons in the museum gives a wonderful opportunity to retrace the evolution of arms since the early pages of history till the present day as well as to compare achivements of gunsmiths from all over the world.
For creating of this great museum we need to thank Robert Taylor, english businessman who has been living in Vietnam since 1991. He dedicated 20 long years of his life for getting a permission to build a museum and to bring all his collection from abroad. By doing this, he aimed to introduce a world military heritage to Vietnam.
