For 3 days the sailing-ship was moored to the dock at the port of Joint venture “Vietsovpetro”. Marine university and  “Vietsovpetro” have been cooperating for many years now – at the university the specialists and ship engineers are trained to work there later on. “NADEZHDA” was opened for visitors on the first day of arrival, on the other days people could come to the port and take pictures of the snow-white sailing-ship at daytime and lightened up by illuminating lights at night. Many inhabitants of Vung Tau are Russian citizens and they got to talk to marine students who are doing their internship on the vessel.
For the marine students the representatives of “Vietsovpetro” organized a couple of sightseeing tours around the town, which included visiting of Bai Sao (Back beach). Also the students could freely walk around the town, visiting local places of interest.

The historical event of the same nature took place in 1891, when Russian czarevitch Nikolai Aleksandrovich Romanov, also know as emperor Nikolai the Second, had made his trip around the world visiting Europe, The Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, Aden, India, Ceylon, Siam (Thailand), Singapore, Vietnam, China and Japan. On frigates “Pamyat Azova” and “Vladimir Monomach”  in March 1891 czarevitch and his companions arrived to the Vung Tau port and after that to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) on their way to China.
